Date Sold: 22/08/1970
“Good afternoon, Mr. President. Sorry I’ve been away so long. I won’t let you down again.”
A Superman (Christopher Reeve) make-up chart display from the production of Richard Lester’s 1980 superhero sequel Superman II.
Superman agrees to sacrifice his powers so he can lead a normal life and start a relationship with Lois Lane (Margot Kidder). Little does he know, three Kryptonian criminals have been released and are trying to conquer Earth.
This make-up chart was completed by the legendary make-up artist Stuart Freeborn and features handwritten notes on what make-up Reeve should have and where. It is dated ‘5th Oct 1979’ and has been custom-displayed alongside a photo of Superman and above the iconic film logo.
The piece has very minor wear from production use and the display remains in an excellent condition.
