“Activate circuits 29 through W7 and start full-power coordinates on exterior defensive systems.” “In other words, push this red button.” “How did you know about that?”
A multi-layer storyboard from the production of Richard Lester’s 1983 superhero sequel Superman III.
Synthetic kryptonite laced with tar splits Superman (Christopher Reeve) in two: good Clark Kent and bad Man of Steel.
Storyboards were used to plan scenes and shots for the movie. This storyboard depicts when Vera (Annie Ross) was accidently turned into a cyborg. The storyboard features two cellophane overlays with a circuit board design painted on them, the shot number ‘388E’ in the top right corner and a description beneath the image reading ‘Vera robot steps forward out of the smoke’. One of the cels features the date ’14 JUN 1982’.
The storyboard shows minimal wear from production use and aging with worn edges, pinholes on the paper and cels and masking tape remnants from where the pieces where originally bound. The storyboard remains in an otherwise very good condition.
Materials: Paper, Plastic.
